How To Make A Wedding Dress Cupcake Cake: Featuring Vegan Hot Mess

Hello Fashionista’s!

My final blogpost related to my Bridal shower is how to make this AMAZING bridal shower cupcake dress!  I found this on Pinterest and was OBSESSED!  Luckily my close friend Allison Bisram who runs Vegan Hot Mess was able to re-create it for my shower. She literally makes all of my Pinterest obsessions come to life!

Remember ladies, this cupcake dress can be made for any occasion really, weather it’s a bridal shower, birthday party, anniversary etc.!  You can always change the flavour or colour of the icing to fit your special theme.

 BRIDAL SHOWER CUPCAKE DRESS TUTORIAL:
  • Purchase a cake board of the desired size It is best to buy somewhere like Bulk Barn, because they’ll be a lot cheaper than at somewhere like Michaels or a pro cake shop.
  • Purchase some wire backed ribbon (It helps keep its shape without ruining the icing on the cupcakes!) and some embellishments (We used pearls) to decorate the bottom of the board and for the band on the dress.
  • Using empty cupcake papers layout the design which can be anywhere from 20-36 cupcakes.
  • Bake your cupcakes, cool and assemble into the shape you’re going for.
  • Ice each cupcake, and then go over once more to fill the “gaps.”
  • Finish by laying the band across the cupcakes, carefully.  We also added some edible pearls to the cupcakes to keep with the theme.
